This past Friday I went to the ER for worsening abdominal pain and nausea/vomiting. I only received IV Tylenol which works surprisingly well for mild to moderate pain; IV Tylenol is vastly superior to oral tablets. The did an x-ray to check for pneumonia (sick with virus kindergartner brought home) and a CT of the abdomen and pelvis - part of my bowels are paralyzed, or were, I'm honestly not sure, and there was potentially mild enterocolitis - I don't know much about that. My GI MD is out of the country until the first of October and his NP i normally see is also out until next Wednesday, so I will see her next Wednesday.
In the meantime, I'm not eating or drinking much, nausea is through the roof, even with round the clock Zofran/Phenergan. I'm trying to do normal life things; took my son to the park and played a day ago, school pick up and drop off, going to my appointments and just being active in Malachi's life. I'm doing my best to keep up.
